A spot welder works by dissipating large amounts of heat in between two electrodes in the material you are bonding. It makes use of a transformer that converts mains voltage to a very low voltage, but high current energy source. The cool thing with this type of welder is it’s perfectly safe to hold onto the electrodes as the voltage is so low, you won’t get electrocuted. By running a super high current (generally >1000A @ ~1-2V) through a small surface area, you can super heat most materials hot enough to weld them together.
What is DC Pulse TIG Welding Machines?
DC Pulse TIG Welding Machines are specialized welding devices used for Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding with the capability of pulsing the direct current (DC) during the welding process.
Characteristics
Direct Current (DC): Operates using direct current, making it suitable for welding metals like stainless steel, carbon steel, and copper alloys.
Pulse Function: Features a pulsed output where the current alternates between a high (peak) current and a low (base) current at a controlled frequency.
Precision Control: Allows fine-tuning of welding parameters, including pulse frequency, peak current, base current, and pulse duration.
Inert Gas Shielding: Uses an inert gas, typically argon, to shield the weld area from atmospheric contamination.
Non-Consumable Tungsten Electrode: Employs a tungsten electrode that does not melt during the welding process, providing a stable arc.
